Your Mother was wrong:

Great design doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated.

Super Web-O-Matic was founded in April of 2009 with the belief that a beautiful, custom designed website should be a painless and simple process for small businesses. Fueled by an entrepreneurial spirit, Chris Merrill and Richard Banfield set out to prove this theory, one Boston-based site at a time. Now managing projects all over the country, our growing team has perfected the model of custom designed, quick-to-launch, and process-driven WordPress websites. Clients love our wacky sense of humor, are comfortable with the personality we bring to an otherwise structured system, and are always proud of their new website – our ultimate goal. We believe that a beautifully designed website is not only essential in today’s marketplace, but that it is your very best revenue generator. View our work today or say “hi.” We’re sometimes funny, always fun, and Jeff Probst thinks we’re hot. True story.

Richard Banfield

Richard wears the strategic hat around the offices of Super Web-o-Matic and Fresh Tilled Soil and he has never met a whiteboard he didn’t like. He’s worked his way up the web marketing food chain, starting with online ad sales at MultiChoice, Africa’s largest TV and Internet media business. He was in the thick of it during the heady dot-com years,  founding Acceleration, an international e-marketing business headquartered in London. Richard has delivered high-level business strategy, global marketing campaigns and materials to clients in the US, UK, Europe and Africa. His colorful life experience includes being a dive master on the remote Islamic Republic of the Comoros, where he learned the survival skills he uses daily in the office. In 2011 Richard will serve on the executive committees of TEDxBoston, the AdClub’s Edge Conference and BREW (Boston Regional Entrepreneurship Week).

Chris Merrill

Simply put, Chris loves Boston based start-ups and small businesses. As a seasoned entrepreneur, he has lived the full-life cycle of a business owner. In 2000 Chris founded Thrive Networks, a leading provider of managed IT services subsequently acquired by Staples in 2006. With great intent, unwavering passion and horrible time management skills, Chris sets out to build exceptional products, even if that means breaking them. Chris owns the tactical and product detail side of  Super Web-o-Matic, finding new ways to drive lead generation and to create efficiencies via technology. When he’s not guest speaking at local events or at Boston University’s CDIA, Chris can be found reading, snowboarding at Loon Mountain, requesting a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee delivery service, or otherwise looking like K.D. Lang.

Scott Merrow

Scooter was born on a hillside in Utah in 1950. He doesn’t age. One time he went to Portland, OR, but he didn’t like it. No reason. Just didn’t like it. Now he lives in Bristol, RI. He loves puppies and ice cream. Some say he swallowed a live frog whole just to settle a bet… Joking aside, Scott started his professional career in FL working for a selling partner of DHL, United Shipping Solutions. Raised in Bristol, CT, after DHL he made a blind move to Bristol, RI and soon fell in love with the town and the people. In RI, he spent three years selling for payroll mega-firm ADP, but realized the corporate environment wasn’t quite for him and jumped on board with our super startup as the Sales Manager. Scott enjoys softball, would consider living in Bristol, TN, admittedly cannot swim, and is “petrified” of the Razor scooter in the office. Hence the nickname.
